Giorgio Gomel is an Italian economist. He has been the head of research and international economics at the Bank of Italy.

Giorgio is among the cofounders of JCall, an association of European Jews committed to a peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict based ontwo states, and is the President of Alliance for Middle East Peace Europe (ALLMEP), a coalition of Israeli-Palestinian NGOs working cross-border. He was a cofounder of Beth Hillel, a
progressive Jewish community in Rome. In addition to professional publications, Giorgio has written extensively on Israel and Jewish affairs.
